Ray Lamontagne Philadelphia Concert reviews
Dissapointing
Many things went wrong at this concert. First thing Ray did not sell out the event, and the venue decided to move everyone down to sections 100 which are awful, and not suitable to everyone.
Second they enclosed sections 100 eliminating the great feel this venue has when it has an open back.
Then, they created no vibe whatsoever before the event happened. I felt more engaged at church before mass. The opener was terrible who added no excitement to the show.
Finally Ray had a good selection of songs but the stage was not inviting, he was way too low energy and the lights effect were not existent.
One of the worst concerts ever!
Poorly planned venue
The seating in this venue is poorly planned. The stage is too low. The seats are lined up directly behind each other so it's impossible to see, if there is anyone sitting in front of you. The grade of the hill where the seating is placed is minimal so there is really no chance of seeing over anyone either. People were constantly moving and adjusting just trying to get a view of the stage. The ticket and website stated that the show was to begin at 7:30. The opener did not start until 8 and the headliner did not start until 9. It would be nice to know this in advance to plan for kids or dogs at home. This particular artist would be more appropriate for a smaller more intimate venue.
